San Antonio Area Foundation Fund Accepting Applications for Hurricane Harvey Relief

The John L. Santikos Charitable Foundation, a component fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation, is accepting applications from local nonprofit organizations working to assist local residents affected by Hurricane Harvey or those who have been evacuated from other areas of the state.

Grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded to nonprofit organizations working to help local residents affected by the storm; provide food supplies, prescriptions/medical not covered by insurance, emergency shelter, and disaster cleanup services; and provide support for those who cannot get assistance from other sources or whose losses are not covered by insurance.

Funding also is available to nonprofits themselves if they have experienced increased service needs, a disruption of their services, or damage to a facility due to the storm.

To be eligible, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Bexar, Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina and Wilson counties in the San Antonio area of Texas.

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.

See the SAAF website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
