Central Northeast Neighbors Coalition Accepting Applications for Portland Neighborhood Grants

The Central Northeast Neighbors Coalition in Portland, Oregon, in partnership with the Office of Neighborhood Involvement, is accepting applications for its Neighborhood Small Grants Program.

Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded for projects designed to increase the number and diversity of people who are involved and engaged in their communities and neighborhoods; strengthen neighborhood and community capacity to build community leadership, identity, skills, relationships and partnerships; and increase community and neighborhood impact on public decisions and community life.

Neighborhood and community organizations are eligible to apply. Projects must serve residents of Portland's Central Northeast neighborhood.

Priority will be given to proposals submitted on behalf of and in direct partnership with one or more groups, including neighborhood associations; organizations predominantly led by and/or involving people from historically underrepresented or underserved communities, including communities of color, immigrants and refugees, low-income individuals and families, youth, people with disabilities, and lesbian, gay, bi, and transgendered people; and business associations.

CNN will be hosting an informational workshop on September 20, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Registration is required.

For complete program guidelines and application information, see the CNN website.
