The Arkansas Flower and Garden Show is inviting applications for the 2018 Greening of Arkansas grant program, which supports the development and ongoing care of community gardens, neighborhood parks, and high-profile public green spaces in Arkansas communities.
The program is intended to encourage organizations and civic groups to beautify and enhance the quality of life in their communities through horticulture. Grants of up to $2,500 will be awarded to nonprofit and civic groups for beautification projects on public land. Grants may be used to construct civic plantings in community gardens, neighborhood parks, and public spaces. Grant funds may only be used for the project in the area defined in the plan and project description, and 50 percent of the funds must be used for horticulture (trees, shrubs, and flowers).
To be eligible, applicants must be nonprofit community-based or civic organizations located in Arkansas.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Arkansas Flower and Garden Show website.
