Lincoln Center Education Receives $4 Million for Arts Programming

Lincoln Center Education has announced a four-year, $4 million gift from the Sherman Fairchild Foundation in Chevy Chase, Maryland, in support of its arts education and outreach programming.

The gift builds on an earlier gift of $4 million from the foundation that enable he center's education arm to launch fifteen new initiatives, strengthen its core programs, bolster a multi-faceted rebranding campaign, and leverage additional financial support. Since 2013, LCE has reached more than a hundred and twenty-five thousand students, families, and educators in all five boroughs of New York City, primarily through school and community programs as well as a specially curated annual season featuring artists and ensembles from around the world.

"The tremendous generosity of the Sherman Fairchild Foundation helped us redefine LCE and strategically develop programs for students, educators, and lifelong learners who love the arts," said LCE executive vice president Russell Granet. "Their renewed commitment allows us to continue this worthwhile endeavor, preparing students for their academic and professional lives through imagination, innovation, collaboration, and problem solving, all of which are vital skills in our current society."
